Just a 5-minute walk from the Saigon Central Post Office and the Notre-Dame Basilica of Saigon is the Ho Chi Minh City Hall. Although this elegant colonial building is not open to public, Ho Chi Minh City Hall is very popular with tourists and offers great photo opportunities. Tourists can take photographs outside and many people choose to do this at night when the building and its grounds are lit up. In 1990 a statue of the namesake has been installed in the park in front of the building to celebrate his 100th birthday. It displays Uncle Ho sitting next to a girl.
