I really like how you encourage people to avoid those elephant treks. It’s cruel to such friendly creatures. And, you did a great job telling your readers that the best way to see them is to go to the Elephant Nature Park. Kudos!

  • Layla Walker

Oh how I miss Thailand! Personally, I think Ayutthaya should be on top of every list of things to do in Thailand. The red bricks, old temples and Buddha statues remind me a bit Cambodia. Unlike Angkor Wat and Siem Reap, though, it’s less crowded and a bit more serene. Also, the food in Thailand is simply phenomenal. I’d go back to Thailand in a heartbeat, if someone asks me, just for the food.

  • Mila Green

Thailand’s food is second to none. It’s cheap and absolutely appetizing. It’s, by far, the place for street food, in my opinion. I’m starving and drooling while imagining of Thailand.

  • Matt Jackson

Stay away from tuk tuk rides. They are more expensive than Grab and taxis, especially in Bangkok. Other than the tuk tuk rides, I had a blast exploring Bangkok. A must visit, as far as I’m concerned.

  • Zack Lee

The Tiger Cave Temple is, no doubt, one of the can’t-miss things to do in Thailand. It’s probably the best Thailand attraction.

  • Aubrey Rogers

Perfect list! Erawan Shrine is also a must see in Bangkok. A bit underrated, but still a great place to check out in Bangkok.

  • Scarlett Adams

Wat Phos is a photographer’s dream! Aside from the jaw-dropping Budhha statue, the temple boasts tons of other intricate features and statues. And, it’s a less crowded alternative to the Grand Palace too.

  • Hazel Hall

I love Thailand! It unleashed my inner traveler and opened my eyes to a whole new world. It, in fact, gave me the urge to travel the world more often.

  • Sophia Morgan

Thailand is also a great base or starting point if you want to explore other destinations in Southeast Asia. There’s really no better place to start your backpacking trip in Asia than Thailand.

  • Emma Cook

Great food, cheap massage, smiling people – Thailand is literally heaven. Wish I could stay there forever.

  • Stella Hayes

Thailand, Vietnam and the Philippines are my all time favorites, when it comes to backpacking and travel destinations. These countries have so much to offer the open-minded traveler.

  • Eleanor Reed

Great suggestions! I just want to say that you should go early to Phi Phi bay if you want to steer clear of the crowds. It’s, for me, a great place, and should be on your Thailand travel bucket list.

  • Aurora Moore

I only had a little slice of Thailand on my holiday to Asia last year. I went to Bangkok, and took a trip to Ayutthaya. And, it was nothing short of amazing. I’m planning to explore the rest of the country and check out these things to do in Thailand.

  • Zooey Smith

I wish I could visit Thailand every month. I had so many pleasant memories of it. And, this post is nostalgic, especially since I’ve experienced most of it.

  • Mark Wilson

Wat Ron Khun is unlike any of the temples and religious attractions in Thailand. In fact, it kind of reminds me of Games of Thrones. The white color, fine intricate details and abstract beauty, to me, make it one of the most irresistible things to do in Thailand. It’s simply a can’t-miss!
