Everyone around the global has felt the hardship due to the spread of the novel corona virus and it significantly effects us travelers too. Statistics show that the U.S. travel and tourism industry will lose at least $24 billion in foreign spending this year because of the rapidly spreading corona virus, according to data produced by Tourism Economics. This financial loss is equivalent to about seven times more than the industry lost during the SARS outbreak in 2003.
Tourism Economics, which tracks all travel spending – including on hotels, restaurants, theme parks, and attractions – based its projections on the assumption that the corona virus would be contained in six months. Foreigners typically spend around $256 billion on U.S. travel and tourism a year.
That is why Trekeffect has created a campaign to support and help the CDC Foundation to prevent, detect, and manage the novel corona virus – particularly those where the needs are the greatest.
Help us fight and stop the novel corona virus from spreading when you purchase any of our swimwear, travel clothes, travel bags, and accessories. For every sale, we will donate 10% of all our profits over the next two weeks to the CDC Foundation!
The fund will help us:
- Send essential supplies such as personal protective equipment to front line health workers
- Enable medical workforce to track and detect the disease by boosting laboratory capacity through equipment.
- Ensure health workers and communities everywhere have access to the latest science-based information to protect themselves, prevent infection and care for those in need.
- Accelerate efforts to fast-track the discovery and development of lifesaving vaccines, diagnostics, and treatments
While you are preparing for the warm sun on your skin in the summer months ahead, you are also helping us save lives against the novel coronavirus.
Thank you for your support and stay healthy,
