Europe: Flirting in European Languages

November 30, 2013

So you’re all set for your next big European trip - all the flights and hotel reservations are in place, you have all your documents and visas (if needed) in order, and you know exactly where to go. While some people are traveling with their loved ones, for many a trip also means flirting and a good shot at finding the ‘right one’.

Europe: Flirting in European Languages

Whichever way your heart goes about romance or a simple encounter, here are some essential phrases you should have with you when traveling to Europe - from approaching someone to declining one’s advances.

This guide covers the major Western, Central and Nordic European languages.

If you’re American, one thing to keep in mind is that European people take flirting straightforwardly. Playing games is not common practice, so don’t be surprised if the approaches seem too blunt - that’s just how it is on the other side of the Atlantic.
