Ho Chi Minh City is the heart and soul of Vietnam. It’s a bustling and dynamic industrial center. Yet within this teeming metropolis, timeless traditions and the beauty of Vietnam’s ancient culture still remains.
One of the most popular attractions tourists visit in Ho Chi Minh would be the Cu Chi tunnels. This is the massive tunnel pathway Vietnamese used during the Vietnam War.

The main entry point in Ho Chi Minh would be Than Son Nhat International Airport. The airport is quite huge, but people here speak acceptable English. So, if you get lost, you could ask anyone in the airport for directions. The best way to leave the airport and get to downtown Ho Chi Minh would be to ride a taxi. Taxis here aren’t as expensive compared to other countries, especially if you’re travelling with a group. You’ll be surprised that a 30 to 40 minute drive would just cost around US$ 5 per person or even less. I would suggest this form of transportation most of the time since it’s cheap.

Hotels are typically cheap in Ho Chi Minh. A room would probably cost around US$ 20 per night, which is already good for 2 persons. Backpacker hostels are also quite popular here, which are even cheaper than hotels, but are relatively nice.

The itinerary mostly includes attractions located within the center of the city. It also includes places for souvenir shopping. Overall, the itinerary will cover most of the things travelers would look for in a country.
